Mr. Tracy Allison is the Chief of the Transformational Communications Engineering branch of the SATCOM and Wireless Engineering Division of the Global Information Grid (GIG) Engineering Center of the GIG Enterprise Services - Engineering Directorate at DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency). In this role Mr. Allison is the DoD lead in the development of the SATCOM-GIG Integration Roadmap and also the lead for the Integrated SATCOM-GIG Operations and Management (ISOM) JCTD (Joint Capability Technical Demonstration). Mr. Allison is also engaged in several advanced projects which promise to enhance end-to-end IP service delivery including flow-state aware routing and disruption tolerant networking among others. Mr. Allison oversees numerous communications exercises and demonstrations which expose new technologies to the warfighter while providing potential benefits to Homeland Security and Homeland Defense. Mr. Allison has worked on a number of projects during his tenure at DISA including the Joint IP Modem (JIPM), Transformational SATCOM (TSAT), Transformational Communications Architecture (TCA), and CRADAs (Cooperative Research and Development Agreements) among others.

Prior to coming to DISA, Mr. Allison spent many years working in Satellite Communications for the U.S. Army on assignment in the United Kingdom. Before going to the UK, Mr. Allison supported the NASA Space Range on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic Ocean on a number of communications/electronics systems including SATCOM and Global Positioning System (GPS). In the Army, Mr. Allison was assigned as a SATCOM specialist on a number of rotations including Korea, Panama, Honduras and New Jersey.

Mr. Allison completed the bulk of his Electrical Engineering education at the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering from Leeds Metropolitan University (UK). Mr. Allison subsequently attended the University of York (UK) completing 10 graduate courses Radio Frequency Communications and Electromagnetic Compatibility.
